Super Diem Pool Position. 8 to 12 weeks contract eligible for renewal.Must be able to work 12 shifts a month. Graduate of approved school of cardiovascular technology. Two years experience in a busy Cath and EP lab. Registered or registry eligible. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Team player. BLS and ACLS card required. Assists the Cardiologist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab such as angioplasty with stenting and related procedures. Monitors radiation safety for physicians, patients, and staff. Interprets hemodynamic data, patient lab data, cardiac arrythmias and ECG interpretation while recording a procedure to assure quality patient care. Assists Electrophysiologist with related procedures. Applies critical thinking skills in difficult or challenging cases. Leads and mentors the CVS Technician.
